Dr Dayna Wilson

HCPC AND ISST registered counselling Psychologist & SCHEMA THERAPIST

Hello!

I am a qualified HCPC registered counselling Psychologist. I have degrees from Brunel University (BSc), Queen Mary University (MSc) and City University London (DPsych). I have worked in inpatient and community settings with young people, working aged adults and older adults. I have worked within the NHS for the past 8 years and within this time, I have gained a wealth of knowledge.

I currently work within the NHS with adults and young people. In addition to this, I offer private therapy and clinical supervision to both qualified psychologists and psychologists in training.

In my therapeutic work, I use schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), but I do so in an integrative way (meaning I use what I feel would be most beneficial to my client on a moment to moment basis).

I also believe that we each experience multiple overlapping identities as a result of our background, race, beliefs, culture and upbringing and I am passionate about understanding and exploring the impact of my client’s identity on them in my therapeutic work. I feel that it is important to gain a holistic understanding of my clients so that I can tailor therapy to meet their needs.
